Interior painting covers the decoration of internal surfaces — walls, ceilings, skirting, architrave and doors — including surface preparation such as filling, sanding and masking, followed by primer and topcoat application. It ranges from a single-room refresh to redecorating a whole property, and is priced by room or by day depending on the extent and condition of the surfaces.

Interior painting typically costs £250–£500 per room in our area, including trade paint, with the room's size, the number of coats and the amount of preparation needed pushing the price toward the top of that range. We provide an itemised quotation after a site visit rather than a fixed headline price.
Limitations and exclusions
- Underlying issues such as damp, cracking plaster or previous poor-quality decoration may need remedial work before painting, which is priced separately
- Specialist coatings (such as fire-rated or anti-mould paints for specific applications) are quoted according to the product specified
- Moving furniture beyond what can be safely repositioned within the room is the customer's responsibility unless agreed in advance

How many coats of paint are included?
This depends on the surface and colour — new plaster or a significant colour change often needs a mist coat plus two topcoats, while a like-for-like refresh may need fewer. We confirm this in the quotation once the surfaces are assessed.
Do I need to move my furniture before you start?
Small items are best cleared in advance. Larger furniture is moved to the centre of the room and covered as part of the preparation, though very heavy or fragile items are best moved by the homeowner beforehand.
Can you match an existing paint colour?
Yes, in most cases — if you have the paint name, code or a sample we can match to it, or we can colour-match from a physical sample where needed.
