Hidden costs worth budgeting for
On older properties, it's worth budgeting for the possibility of finding asbestos-containing materials behind old units or flooring, which needs safe removal before work continues. Rewiring a section of kitchen circuit, upgrading extraction, and patching plaster and flooring around the new layout are also common additions that aren't always included in an initial quote.
