What gardening involves
Garden maintenance keeps an existing garden in good order: mowing and edging lawns, trimming hedges and shrubs, weeding beds, and seasonal tidying. It's a different service to landscaping, which covers design and construction of new garden spaces.
Suitable for
- Regular lawn mowing and hedge trimming
- One-off garden tidy-ups, including overgrown gardens
- General bed maintenance and weeding
Not suitable for
- Tree felling or work on protected trees, which needs a qualified arborist and, for protected trees, local authority consent

Limitations and exclusions
- Tree surgery and work on protected (TPO) trees is referred to a qualified arborist
- Pest or disease treatment for lawns and plants is assessed case by case
