Security and sensor lighting is motion-activated (PIR) exterior lighting fitted at entrances, driveways and other vulnerable points around a property, wired into the electrical installation and positioned to illuminate approach routes when movement is detected.

What Security Lighting covers
PIR (passive infrared) security lights detect movement and switch on automatically, commonly fitted above doors, garages and driveways as a low-cost deterrent and practical lighting aid, distinct from a monitored CCTV or alarm system. Fittings need an appropriate outdoor IP rating and are wired to a dedicated or existing outdoor lighting circuit.
