What drone roof inspection involves
A drone roof inspection gives a close, high-resolution view of the whole roof from the air, covering areas that are difficult or unsafe to reach from a ladder — ridge lines, valleys, chimney stacks and behind parapets. It's a visual survey: photo and video evidence of the roof's external condition, useful as a first look before agreeing further work, or as standalone evidence for an insurance claim, pre-purchase check or landlord record. It doesn't replace a hands-on inspection where one turns out to be needed, such as lifting a tile to check the underlay.

- Flights depend on suitable weather — wind, rain and poor visibility can mean rescheduling
- Properties inside a flight restriction zone, such as near Gatwick or another airport, may need additional CAA permission or may not be flyable — checked before booking, not after
- This is a visual, photo and video survey — we don't currently offer thermal imaging as part of this service
- A drone survey covers visible external condition; concealed defects such as timber decay beneath the surface may still need a hands-on inspection once identified

Is your drone pilot CAA registered?
Yes, our drone roof inspections are carried out by our own CAA-registered pilot, flying our own equipment — not a third-party subcontractor.
Can you fly near Gatwick or other controlled airspace?
It depends on the exact location — properties inside a flight restriction zone may need additional CAA permission or may not be flyable at all. We check this before booking rather than after, so you know upfront whether a survey is possible for your property.
Do I have to use you for the repair if you find a problem?
No. The inspection stands on its own — you get the photos, video and our written summary regardless. If repair work is needed and you'd like a quote from us, we're happy to provide one, but there's no obligation to use us for it.
What do I actually receive from the survey?
Photos and video footage of the roof, plus a written summary of what we found. It's a visual record you can use for your own reference, an insurance claim, or as the starting point for a repair quotation.
