Bespoke home cinema, multi-room audio and smart home integration
Smart Home, Home Cinema and Audio
Home cinema, audio and smart home integration covers designing and installing dedicated cinema rooms, multi-room audio systems and connected smart home setups that bring lighting, heating, audio and video together under unified control, specified individually for each property and equipment choice.
Definition
What Home Cinema & Audio covers
This is a bespoke integration service rather than a fixed product: a dedicated home cinema room with projector, screen and surround sound; a multi-room audio system playing different sources in different rooms; or a wider smart home setup linking lighting, heating, security and entertainment. Scope, equipment and cabling requirements vary considerably between projects.
Suitable for
- Dedicated home cinema rooms as part of a renovation or new build
- Multi-room audio systems across several rooms
- Integrating existing smart devices under a single control system
- New builds and major renovations where cabling can be planned in from first fix
Not suitable for
- Standalone soundbar or single-room TV setups, which don't need bespoke design — a straightforward socket and outlet installation is more appropriate
- Equipment selection and programming for systems purchased and specified entirely independently of our installation
Process
How the work is carried out
- 01
Consultation
Understanding the rooms, equipment and level of integration you want.
- 02
Design
Planning cabling, speaker and screen positions, and control system architecture.
- 03
Installation
First and second fix cabling, then mounting and connecting equipment.
- 04
Configuration and handover
Calibrating audio and video, configuring controls, and talking through day-to-day use.
Typical timescale
A single-room audio or cinema installation typically takes a small number of days; whole-home integrated systems take longer and are coordinated with the wider project programme where relevant.
Cost guidance
Home cinema, audio and smart home integration is priced individually for each project following a consultation, as costs vary significantly with the scale of the system and equipment specified. We provide a bespoke quotation after design rather than a generic price.
Limitations and exclusions
- Audio-visual and smart home equipment is specified and supplied to an agreed budget and preference unless you are supplying your own
- Structural alterations for a dedicated cinema room (soundproofing, tiered flooring) are scoped and quoted as building work alongside the AV installation
- Ongoing content subscriptions and streaming services are separate from the installation and arranged by you directly

FAQs
Home Cinema & Audio FAQs
Can you integrate my existing smart devices into one system?
Generally yes, though compatibility depends on the ecosystems and protocols your existing devices use, which we assess during consultation before proposing an integration approach.
Do you supply the equipment or do I buy my own?
Either — we can specify and supply equipment to an agreed budget, or install and configure devices you've already bought or specified yourself.
Is a dedicated cinema room only possible in a new build?
No, retrofitting a cinema room into an existing space is possible too, though soundproofing and any structural work tend to be more involved than in a new build. We assess this on a project-by-project basis.
